Your marketing plan should have a mix of various sources such as: Organic Search Engine Optimization, Pay Per Click Advertising, Social Media Traffic and Advertising, Blogs, Articles, Directory listings, Email Newsletter campaigns and Traditional Advertising like TV, Radio, Print, Billboards and Telemarketing. The actual mix of these sources depends on the type of business and what objectives the company has and what has worked in the past and what areas they want to focus on in the future.
My favorite style in this is article marketing. You create anchor content on your website or blog, then you build authority-content links to that content, effectively driving up the visibility. I've used this single strategy to rank hundreds of keywords in the #1 spot on Google, and I would highly recommend that if you're going to learn any marketing strategy, that you get really good at this one.
Say your small business is a coffee house. I hear it's been wicked cold there lately. I'd hire an army of baristas to dress in branded winter clothes and jackets and give free branded cups of coffee to people who are waiting outside in the cold for buses and the T. Tell everyone from The Boston Globe to Universal Hub (a website feed of the posts of local bloggers, if it still exists) and more beforehand. Get the people who get the free coffee to take photos and videos and spread them online.

Television and radio industries are the electronic media, which competes with digital and other technological advertising. Yet television advertising is not directly competing with online digital advertising due to being able to cross platform with digital technology. Radio also gains power through cross platforms, in online streaming content. Television and radio continue to persuade and affect the audience, across multiple platforms (Fill, Hughes, & De Franceso, 2013).
Publicity: Getting your business featured on media outlets can be a great way to reach new customers, but connecting with the right people to make it happen can sometimes be difficult. You can always submit and post press releases for news and announcements from your business through online press release distribution services. While press releases can work, they can also be time-consuming and are often ignored. Another option that often produces better results is to sign up for media requests through Help A Reporter Out. Early versions of search algorithms relied on webmaster-provided information such as the keyword meta tag or index files in engines like ALIWEB. Meta tags provide a guide to each page's content. From a tracking perspective, a video carousel filter would be very helpful. For example, in GSC’s performance reporting, you can currently filter AMP rich results and other rich results, but you can’t view video carousel data. It would be an understatement to say that the number of mobile users who access the internet through their smartphones is going to increase by leaps and bounds.
